The DePriest Residence located in Knightdale, NC was a project that required the renovation of existing exterior porches into conditioned heated spaces to be used as fully enclosed sunrooms to be accessible from the first floor dining and second floor master bedroom. An additional covered porch was designed at the rear of the house as well as a new side entry. Due to an incline at the entry, a new driveway, with concrete precast retaining walls was installed, to support the sloping site. A textured stamped concrete driveway serves as hardscape throughout which connects to the walkway leading up to the new covered porch and patio. The addition proved to be a simple traditional detailed complement to the existing house, with a contemporary approach to the vertical cladding and metal roof covering.
