Fleet Feet Sports, located in the Ridgewood shopping center, is a new style of retail boutique athletic shoe store. The owners, Bob and Kathy Morris, chose this location to renovate 2170 s.f into a clean, modern, and invigorating space. What was formerly a dark space is now full of light, color and action. The store contains 1300 s.f. of merchandise area, with the remainder being used for office, break area, and storage with a mobile shelf system.
A new store front was installed to create a crisp open look and capture natural light. In the merchandise area, one wall is a series of vertical display bays that consists of glass shelves, modern metal hardware and maple cabinets for over stock items and on the opposite wall hangs a series of three birch display boxes for clothing. Along the red wall that extends from the front to back of the store is a serpentine cash wrap that serves as a focal point, suggesting movement and activity. Maple flooring and grey hues are used throughout the store.
